Just few months back I wrote about lead painted dangerous toys, toxic pet food, toothpaste containing industrial solvent, substandard vehicle tires etc, all Made in China

Now we have the next installment added to this list of Made in China and this time followed with more innovation!

The Chinese have been manufacturing fake pain killers and aspirin tablets off late and exporting to unsuspecting African countries. did I say fake? yes. These pain killers contain nothing harmful, but nothing useful either, i.e neither are they killers nor do they have anything to do with pain.

Its just like eating some chocolate to get rid off your pain. It might help only if your conviction is so strong into making your body believe that it was indeed pain killer! Just like how a glass of water given as medicine by a doctor might indeed cure a person if the person has faith in the doctor and his medicine. But faith in Made in China?

That’s not the only highlight. In fact exports are better than products manufactured for local consumption in China. So if this is the quality of exports, then you can imagine the sufferings of the innocent Chinese people.

Mr Zhou Qing has written a book called What Kind of God , exposing the sub standard qualities of food manufactured in China. What kind of God is an ironic questioning over a famous Chinese proverb which says Food is God. Obviously this book is suppressed by the authorities in China. One of the main reasons for the sub standard manufacturings in China is large scale corruption, where the local officials of the communist government are in collusion with the manufacturers!

Have a look at some of the substandard food items from China.

Insecticides are used to preserve pickled vegetables! Here are some excerpts from the book on pickled vegetables.

The managers of some pickled vegetable factories say that, We don’t eat any of these pickles in Sichuan, we sell them to people from other provinces.
After some secret interviews, I finally uncovered the truth about this business. The most important part of the pickling process is the soaking. I noticed that the salt used in the pickling was not only whiter than most salt, but the grains were finer. So I asked, How come it’s so white? The manager said, This salt is bought on the black market. It’s cheaper by fifty yuan a jin. Later in the yard outside, I saw printed on the bags of salt the terrifying words, Industrial Salt, and Not for human consumption.

  • Cold Skin Noodles are contaminated with urine and saliva!
  • In August this year it was found that a factory was recycling up to 1 lakh pairs of bamboo chopsticks every day without even disinfecting them!
  • Restaurant meals are laced with opiates!

The manager said, When we soak the vegetables there are always a lot of insects, but when we add the chemicals they all disappear. A little later, a worker started adding chemicals to the vats. I asked what the chemicals were and the worker replied that they were insect killers. He also said that to ensure that no insects got to them, the pickles would be sprayed with insecticide every two or three days until they left the factory.

It was found that the insecticides sprayed on food contained 99% strength DDVP! DDVP is an organo-phosphate insecticide with an acute toxicity classified as highly hazardous by the WHO. And this is what a common Chinese citizen is consuming with his normal diet!

Restaurants that specialise in beef, lamb, dog, and spicy soups add opiates to their food so as to encourage their customers to return. Wei Tao, the deputy head of the Guizhou Disease Prevention Office, told me that some of the soups served at the restaurants contain traces of morphine, some in rather high quantities.

Chinese consumers dont go to courts because the legal process is very costly and they also fear harassment from government officials.

Some more examples of deliberate food contamination made in China to increase sales and profits are

  • Pigs are pumped full of steroids
  • Fish farms use contraceptives as feed
  • Soya sauce containing fermented human hair
  • Rice polished with metal

Restaurants reuse the oil left over from the plates in which customers eat oil broiled fish! To hide the fact that the oil is old recycled oil, they add more chillies to the oil! This kind of recycling oil from the consumed plates has given it the new name saliva broiled fish!

Clenbuterol is added to Pig-feed. This chemical is poisonous to humans, causing dizziness, fatigue, nausea and heart palpitations. This is added to the food given to Pigs because it makes pork redder and meatier!

Pet foods containing melamine spiked wheat gluten resulted in the deaths of number of American pets. Chinese Cough syrup that was laced with mislabeled diethylene glycol killed at least 50 people in Panama.

Russians using the Chinese pork discovered drops of mercury in it. All countries starting from Asia to Europe to North America have found arsenic, illegal antibiotics and other potentially carcinogenic chemicals in Chinese seafood exports. So these are not some isolated incidents, but common practice!

Kids snacks are full of hormones causing 7-year-old girls to grow breasts and 6-year-old boys to grow beards! This is not an exaggeration, but a fact!

Seafood is regularly dumped with bottles full of potentially cancer-causing chemicals like malachite green into the tanks to prevent fungal infections!

Also, very weird are some of the Chinese food habits. At Guangdong, the carnivorously uninhibited southern province of China, people will eat anything with wings except an airplane. A local restaurant’s specialty here placenta soup , believed to be a boost for fertility! The placentas come from the aborted fetuses of migrant women workers who are unmarried or out of line with the government’s one child policy! What the hell is this? Humanitarians? Thank God I am a vegetarian by chance and more importantly by choice
The Guanshengyuan mooncakes filled with rotten ingredients, the DDVP pork legs from Jinhua, the poisonous minced meat from Taiqiang, Pingyao’s toxic beef, pork contaminated with lean pork powder, poisonous beansprouts

Oh my God, very soon the Chinese masses will probably become the most contaminated life forms on this planet! The picture of innocent common man consuming all this in the name of food is just unimaginable. Not that there is no adulteration in other countries, but on a massive scale as this, and so well organized is something that is unimaginable and unmatchable!

The Chinese economy is definitely boooooming . What an economy with unhealthy masses! The communism in China is definitely a tragedy for the Chinese common man. Finally it is the common man on the streets who suffers. Innocent kids are being given poison by their parents without them being aware of it. Wish democratic institutions surface in China very soon and make health a higher priority rather than earning money at the cost of health.
