oh yes, you are right, always it is very easy to destroy things than to create things..

similarly its easy to have a luxury life at the cost of nature, while it requires a little bit of more brains to have a luxury life but not at the cost of nature

For ex: building a dam against a river, submerging vast regions of forests and villages, and generating electricity is quite easy COMPARED TO inventing a technology which can generate electricity from the same river without building a dam and submerging villages, by using the natural flowing power of the river water!! As I said, the latter requires a bit of more brains :)

i am in total support that nature shud be preserved...
thats why i said in dilemma...since i manytimes feel what our ancestors did was good and simple...remember many of indians are mostly termed as happy contained with whatever they have and dont look for anything new...but i guess some got bored by the same routine...and ideas of avoiding overwork started flowing...

yes, at the outset the cause looks noble..
but the effects are not that simple.. whats the use of that electricity if in turn the forests are lost, wildlife is destroyed, your drinking water is gone.. there is pollution..

No state or country can expect to satisfy all its requirements on its own.. Japan imports almost everything from the outside world!!

The issue is not about whether to become a developed nation or about whether to remain undeveloped by preserving nature...

The issue is, how to become a developed nation by preserving nature...

we humans who consider ourselves as intelligent beings, have a good brain.. and that can definitely get us both.. development that is in harmony with nature.. which is why I like the ancient Indian traditions and vedic culture.. which was both pro nature and pro development..

When the thinking itself becomes that, God is nature and so it is a sin to go against nature... and also when the vedas say that one needs to learn, become knowledgeful and develop.. the human thinking would get mould into thinking on the lines of development which at the same time is not against nature!!!

Well, you inspired me for another blog article now :)

Is there any other mean or way to generate electricity there ? The cause looks noble, the path might be wrong....
even where we (means everyone) leave today was a nature previously...but was it incorrect to cut trees and build houses and roads for better civilized life...
I sometimes go into dilemma what is right and wrong?....and finally half-hartedly sum it up by saying ""Nothing is Right or Wrong in this Universe, The perspective makes it so""...but still confused....:(
