Sanskrit is the oldest of Indo-European Languages. It is still in use in many parts of India and is studied throughout the world in leading universities. World's most ancient scriptures the vedas ,  world's largest epic mahabharatha and all of the ancient hindu religious and scientific works are written in sanskrit. It is the mother of innumerable modern languages like hindi, urdu, gujarati, punjabi, marathi, nepali, simhal (Srilanka), etc. The language of Zoroastrian Avesta is a dialect of the vedic sanskrit. 

Sanskrit is the best human language to develop Software, as its syntax is best suited for it to be developed into a full-fledged  programming language (as identified by Forbes Magazine of Germany).

I personally believe that Sanskrit did not originate on Earth, but instead is a well designed scientific language passed on to humans by our alien mentors (extra-terrestrial beings) in ancient India.
